The River Of Love: Discover Passion and Purpose through Meditation

Let me ask you a couple serious questions about your life:

  • Are you sitting on the sidelines instead of being right in the midst of the game of life?
  • Do you go through each day ho-humming around or are you filled with passion, purpose, and power?
  • Is your thought life plagued with incessant negative thoughts?

It’s easy to get caught up in a routine of the same old thing day after day. Maybe you were once full of passion and purpose, but over the years you may have lost a lot of those due to one thing or another. Maybe you were once super positive and now you are plagued with negative thoughts driving you half crazy. It happens all the time. People settle and get lethargic, but the good news is that at any moment you can turn that around, be free from negativity, and step into your passion and purpose.

One thing that excites me greatly is the privilege of helping men and women dig up their buried passions. Everyone has something that they like to do; something that they are passionate about. Sometimes it just takes a bit of digging to discover the beauty of passion and take steps toward taking that passion and turning it into a beautiful purpose.

Get Very Quiet

You have a huge amount of potential residing within you. The key to unleashing that potential is to get in tune with it, and you can begin this process by getting very quiet. If you are like most people, your mind is churning a mile a minute with thoughts galore. This is not always a bad thing, but if many of those thoughts are negative, it certainly can affect your mind, body and spirit in a negative way. Negative thoughts influence your emotions and your emotions affect your behavior. This is why many people battle enormous amounts of stress, sadness, anger, etc.—because they are riddled with self-defeating and negative thoughts.

Learn to silence your thoughts. As best as you can, stop thinking so much about the past or the future and learn to enjoy the present moments in your life. A wonderful way to do this is through meditation, as meditation has helped multitudes achieve an inner sense of peace and joy.

What Is Meditation?

Meditation has been around since ancient times. It is quite popular in the East and is growing in popularity in the West. The practice is simply a technique that uses deep breathing and the focus on the breath to train the mind and become more enlightened or conscious. People meditate to learn to control their thought life, with the aim of minimizing thoughts and enjoying the present moment.

To meditate, you simply need to sit or lie down in a quiet spot, take two or three deep breaths and blow them out slowly. Relax every part of your body and focus on your inhale and exhale. When you inhale, feel your breath entering your lungs, and as you exhale, feel it leaving. As you keep your focus on your breath, all other thoughts should fall silent. If random thoughts do enter your mind (as they will), simply acknowledge the thoughts and then let them go. This act of meditation is teaching you to manage your mind, which will benefit you in various ways throughout your life.

Manage Your Feelings

As you go about daily meditation, some negative emotions may come to the surface and need your attention. This is quite normal, as many people tend to stuff feelings of anger, frustration, sadness, and fear way down deep in their subconscious and through meditation these emotions are almost begging to be freed.

As these emotions rise, face them head on. Embrace the fear you have been running from, process it, and then let it go. Embrace the anger you have been stuffing for years and years. It is doing you no good. Process it and then let it go. Do this for any negative emotion that rises, as harboring such feelings will hold you back in life. You will feel weighted down carrying all of them, so just bid them adieu once and for all.

Clearing the Flow

At your very core there is a river of energy flowing, but many people never really get to feel it flowing out through them because they have blockages in their energy field. Meditation is a great way to clear those blockages so that you can be a vessel that allows rivers of love, peace, kindness and joy to flow through you to humanity. This is the ultimate purpose of every individual on this planet.

You do not have to sit on the sidelines in life without passion or purpose any longer. As you meditate and release negative feelings, you will begin to experience a river of love and reclaim your wholeness. This allows you to step into your power and purpose in life, unleashing all sorts of potential in every direction. Do you feel it calling you? The potential? The river of love?
